This is in respect of the much talked of contraversy of prosecuting Aseem Trivedi ,the cartoonist. Every one is ignoring the provisions of the Indian Penal code more particularlySection124 A read with the provisions of the National Emblems Act,
The emblem i.e.three Lions with an inscription of. Satyamev Jayate was adopted by the Republic of India on 26 th Jnuary 1950 andfromgetting the same misused an Act has been enacted by the Parliament in 2005section 3 is a charging Section. If one reads it carefully the same confers powers on the Central Government to take appropriate action from the same being misused.Penal Code also provides for an offence Sedition.Section124 A deals with the same.It says broadly speaking, whoeverby words either, spoken or written or by signs or byvisible representation or otherwise, brings or attempts to bring into hatred or contempt or excites or attempts to excite disaffection towards the Government established by Law.Here the phrase disaffection includes disloyalty and all feeling of enmity. No doubt that the said Sri Aseem Trivedi wanted to crise the Govenment but in that enthusiasm has committed contempt of the National Emblem. There were other ways of showing his feelings and criticise the Government which definitely deserves to condemned. In fact several acts would go to show that the Congress should be kept out of power  by voting against it in the Election which probably be held in 2013.
